Cherry Hinton School Journeys survey

Overview

Cambridgeshire County Council are working with Cherry Hinton primary schools and the local community to understand how journeys to school are made, where there are local issues and what can be done to improve the school run.

We would like to understand how you currently travel, where you would like to go and if there is anything preventing you from choosing active travel options for your school journeys or that would make your journey on foot, by bike or by wheeling safer. If you travel by car let us know why this is and if there are changes we could make to help you with switching some of your journeys.

Active travel refers to walking, wheeling and cycling. Including the use of mobility aids such as wheelchairs and pushchairs as well as scooters and adapted cycles. It supports the aims of our Active Travel Strategy to enable and encourage a shift away from journeys made by private car.

An easy read version of this survey is available and can be requested by emailing school.streets@cambridgeshire.gov.uk. If you would prefer to complete a paper version of this survey, please visit Cherry Hinton Library, High St, Cherry Hinton, Cambridge, CB1 9HZ.

We may publish your response in public reports but we will remove any information which may identify you or someone else. Why your views matter

Let us know why you travel the way you do, what the frustrations are for you and how we can work together to improve school journeys for everyone.

The survey responses will form the evidence base for local support for active travel projects in and around Cherry Hinton. This will enable us to consider schemes to develop further and then apply for funding when it becomes available.

The information you provide is useful to us but if you are short on time only answer the initial questions questions and then move to the final page to submit.
