Business Plan and Budget 2026-29: Phase 2 Engagement
Overview
Each year Cambridgeshire County Council must set a budget that sets out how much money will be spent on services, and this is known as the business planning process. The council's costs are rising, the population is growing, and demands for services are growing more complex, particularly children's and adults social care. Gathering the views of our residents is important to us.
Between 24 October and 24 November 2025, through our Phase One engagement, we sought your views on how the council should prioritise its spending and its savings. The results informed our draft 2026-29 Business Plan and Budget, see item 5 on the committee agenda here.

This survey is Phase Two of our engagement with residents and stakeholders. It has three parts:
- Part one – Outlines the context.
- Part two – Seeks your views on key spending, savings and investment proposals.
- Part three – Asks if you are taking this survey as a resident or other kind of stakeholder.
You do not have to give us any personal information. The information you do provide will be reviewed by our analysis team. We will not publish any personal details you give us but may publish your response and include it in public reports. Any personal data will be held securely, in accordance with data protection legislation. We will only store it for 12 months after the survey results have been analysed and the survey report published.
